Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Overland West Freight Lines Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and arranging for maintenance and repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating Activities
    • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operations.
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping
    • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis to management and other stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and other relevant data.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed on company vehicles and equipment.
    • Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice
    • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to employees and management.
    • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Dispatch and Scheduling
    • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders.
    • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
  • Work Environment and Supervision
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Supervise 3-4 people and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge
    • Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Office.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a variety of weather conditions.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
