Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Overland West Freight Lines Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and arranging for maintenance and repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Logistics Operations: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Dispatch and Scheduling: Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of shipments and schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient logistics operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Office.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail required.
  • Supervision: Supervise 3-4 people.
