About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Kage Logistics Ltd. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, taking care to secure cargo and prevent damage during transit.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with the transportation team.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads as needed.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: At least 7 months of experience as a Long Haul Truck Driver.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
