POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the Warehouse Leads and Porters in the processes of receiving, storing, and distributing products to various areas within the hotel. This role involves directing and assigning tasks to the Warehouse Porter team to ensure smooth operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate an efficient warehouse operation that meets operational demands and targets.
- Ensure all tasks are executed according to management's instructions in a safe and timely manner.
- Oversee the proper storage and rotation of incoming supplies in line with DelMonte Hotel Group's standards.
- Operate various warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse to meet company standards.
- Communicate any product discrepancies to management promptly.
- Train staff on all warehouse duties and operational procedures.
- Conduct accurate inventory counts on a bi-weekly and monthly basis, or as directed by management.
- Address and resolve warehouse issues where possible, escalating to management when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations among staff.
- Immediately correct unsafe conditions and behaviors when identified, reporting hazards to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are required:
- 2-3 years of experience in a large-scale warehouse environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to delegate tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position requires the employee to meet physical demands that are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While executing job duties, the employee will frequently be required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to manipulate controls. The role also involves standing, walking, and stooping, with specific vision abilities required for close vision and focus adjustment.
