Position Overview

As an Investment Advisor, you will provide expert financial and investment guidance tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactively engage with both new and existing clients to conduct needs-based assessments that foster loyalty and uncover future opportunities.

  4. Identify potential referrals for personal and commercial banking products during client interactions.

  12. Contribute to the enhancement of overall business performance and client experience.
  13. Stay informed about personal investment products and industry trends to enrich client conversations.
  14. Adapt to market needs by working across multiple branches and channels to ensure optimal client experiences.
  15. Establish strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  16. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical standards to protect the bank's assets.
  17. Demonstrate creativity in proposing innovative solutions.
  18. Utilize sound judgment to identify and resolve issues within established guidelines.
  19. Work independently while being open to broader responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience along with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • CFP designation is preferred or progress towards one of the following:
    • Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation
    • Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement
    • Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC)
    • Financial Planning I & II (FP I & II)
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course, with licensing to sell mutual funds.
  • Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Specialized expertise gained through education and/or professional experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Influential skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.

Salary

The compensation structure includes a base salary along with commission opportunities. The total compensation package may vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
