Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse team at Custom Culinary. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials and finished goods within our facility.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Supervisor and communicates all relevant matters pertaining to Operations.
  • Carries out duties according to procedures and work instructions covering the tasks relating to the position's function as outlined in the department's quality manual.
  • Performs duties as required within shipping/receiving and material handling.
  • Transfers material/finished goods from bagging and/or bakeries into inventory.
  • Keeps material and racks clean and tidy.
  • Keeps narrow aisle reach truck clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Follows material movement practices and maintains extensive knowledge of storage, movement, and safe handling of goods.
  • Checks that all materials are correctly stored and transferred using the RF.
  • Narrow Aisle Reach Truck experience.
  • Maintains inventory counts and levels.
  • Communicates internally with other departments for the purpose of gathering, distributing materials, and maintaining inventory.
  • Adheres to all Security and Health & Safety policies.
  • Requires lifting of up to 25 kg on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma – Required.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical foundations – Required.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Team player with a keen desire to meet deadlines, strong decision maker with excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft DAX or other ERP knowledge an asset.
  • Forklift license – Required.
  • Must be able to operate either a Crown Narrow Aisle and/or Raymond Narrow Aisle Reach truck.
