Job Title: Director of Infrastructure

Join the City of Whitehorse team as a Director of Infrastructure and play a key role in shaping the city's infrastructure strategy. As a member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for leading the Engineering, Fleet & Transportation, and Water and Waste Services departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the effective delivery of infrastructure services
  • Lead a team of professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with other directors to ensure coordinated effort in the provision of services
  • Develop and interpret legislation, research, develop, implement and maintain programs, bylaws, policies and practices
  • Coordinate, administer and control the annual operating and capital budgets of the division
Qualifications:
  • Masters' degree in a related discipline
  • 10 years of progressively responsible administrative and technical experience in a government and/or private sector setting
  • 4 years of supervisory experience
  • Proven leadership and supervision skills with the ability to delegate, set clear expectations, train and develop, motivate and manage performance
