About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Advisor to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Senior Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert financial advice and guidance to our customers, helping them achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with our customers, understanding their financial needs and goals.
    • Provide personalized financial advice and guidance to help customers achieve their financial objectives.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans for our customers, taking into account their financial situation, goals, and risk tolerance.
    • Analyze financial data and market trends to identify opportunities and risks for our customers.
  • Sales and Business Development
    • Meet and exceed sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and partners.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, attending training and professional development opportunities as needed.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Relevant degree in finance, business, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on wealth management and financial planning.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
    • Proven sales and business development skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
