As a key member of our Project Development team, you will play a critical role in preparing and coordinating conceptual plans, reviewing venue design and construction contract bid documents, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
The Role:Reporting to the VP, Venues and Operations in Canada, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement venue design and construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing concept designs, specifications, and presentations for development projects.
- Coordinating development of project design and documentation with external consultants and managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing external design and engineering consultants and vendors.
- Preparing and reviewing plans, construction bid documents, and specifications for major and minor capital improvement projects.
- Developing project scope, schedule, and cost, and reviewing with the business unit to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with set goals and timelines.
- Acting as liaison between stakeholders, ensuring communication at all levels and keeping all parties up to date.
- Reviewing and analyzing construction documents to ensure design and programmatic alignment and identifying potential constructability or coordination risks during preconstruction phase.
- Working with the Project Manager to monitor construction progress through on-site inspection and review.
- Creating furniture plans, selecting furnishings, preparing budgets, and coordinating orders for projects.
- Overseeing delivery of furniture and finality of the project.
- Working with Art and Branding teams on development and implementation of venue art program.
You will work closely with a team comprised of cross-functional stakeholders from Live Nation Canada, Inc., including Project Development, Design & Architecture, Fan/Artist Services, F&B, Sponsorship, and Premium Sales. You will also work with general contractors and external consultant teams.
What This Person Will Bring:To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture; 5+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Licensure is preferred.
- Experience with all phases of project development from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Strong understanding of building codes and systems.
- Experience working on venue-related build outs, expansions, and/or improvements preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
- Knowledge of current building codes, building systems, and specifications.
- Ability to design and plan major construction projects.
- Ability to travel to project sites and meetings, including Canada and the US.
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketchup/Enscape, and Bluebeam.
