About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 1458366 B.C. LTD. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on construction techniques
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with minimal supervision. You will be required to work in confined spaces, outdoors, and in noisy conditions. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work at heights.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to apprentices
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads
