About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Elite Exterior Designs Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build and renovate residences and wooden structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, as well as excellent physical abilities to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
