Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bilingual IT Support Specialist to join our client's team in the materials industry. This contract role offers a minimum commitment of three months, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional deskside support and helpdesk services to end-users, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues.
  • Install and configure Microsoft Office applications, ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Perform memory upgrades and other hardware installations, maintaining optimal system performance.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting for software and hardware problems, utilizing strong analytical skills.
  • Respond to and resolve Level 1 technical support tickets efficiently, adhering to established procedures.
  • Document and track all issues within the ticketing system, providing clear and concise information.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts and profiles, ensuring secure access and data integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times, fostering positive client relationships.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are highly valued.
  • Proven experience in a technical support or IT helpdesk role, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in installing and configuring Microsoft Office applications, ensuring user proficiency.
  • Basic understanding of hardware components and memory upgrades, facilitating efficient system maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation, ensuring client satisfaction through prompt and effective support.
