Position Overview
As a Lead Media Investment Strategist within a skilled team, you will be tasked with formulating and implementing purchasing strategies for our clientele across Canada. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with our media partners, strategists, and clients to devise effective purchasing strategies across various media platforms. Additionally, you will be expected to cultivate content partnerships and creative initiatives in conjunction with all our collaborators (creative agencies and clients).
Key Responsibilities
- Media purchasing and rate negotiation across TV, radio, OOH, premium digital, and print;
- Assessment, development, acquisition, and negotiation of content projects, sponsorships, and creative endeavors across all media;
- Establish and nurture relationships with our media partners;
- Optimize advertising campaigns, conduct pre- and post-analysis, and participate in post-campaign evaluations;
- Collaborate closely with strategists and the trading desk to launch campaigns;
- Oversee contracts, monitor media investments, manage billing, and BCR;
- Stay informed on trends in both online and offline media (TV shows, magazines, blogs, radio programs), consistently updating knowledge on new media.
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to the ongoing training of the investment team;
- Enhance work processes;
- Support the improvement of the agency's offerings;
- Specifically assist the team of strategists and traders located in Toronto.
Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years (or more) of experience in media purchasing across all national media channels;
- In-depth knowledge of the English-speaking Canadian market;
- Proficiency in media measurement and inventory management tools (Comscore, Radius, Infosys, MediaOcean, Prisma, COMMB data report);
- Solid understanding of online/automated purchasing methods for offline media;
- Advanced knowledge of best optimization practices;
- Strong interest and foundational knowledge of digital performance media;
- Basic understanding of data management platforms (DMPs);
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google;
- Experience in food or CPG sectors.
