Position Overview:

The role of Activity Leader is crucial in creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for participants at the ILSC Junior Camp. This position involves overseeing the activities and ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and culturally enriching experience for all students.

Program Details:

The ILSC Junior Camp operates during the summer months, providing various activities designed to foster learning and social interaction among youth.

Reporting Structure:

The Activity Leader will report directly to the Program Manager or Activity Coordinator, ensuring that all activities align with the camp's objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging activities that promote participation and cultural exchange.
  • Supervise students outside of the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Monitor student attendance and address any behavioral issues promptly.
  • Lead orientation sessions for new arrivals, helping them acclimate to the camp environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow leaders to plan and execute daily activities.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding any incidents or concerns.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, fixed-term position with a variable schedule. Leaders will work six consecutive days followed by one day off each week.

Compensation:

Remuneration will be provided on a weekly basis, with accommodations and meals included during the camp's operation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth in a camp or educational setting.
  • Background in arts, sports, or social activities is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.

Additional Requirements:

  • Criminal Record Police Check.
  • Medical records and immunization reports may be required.
