Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker who is passionate about enhancing the lives of individuals through meaningful engagement and support. This role involves working closely with clients to foster independence and promote a vibrant lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals tailored to individual preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry.
- Encourage and facilitate physical activities such as walking, yoga, and dance.
- Assist clients with various crafts and creative projects.
- Support clients in maintaining connections with friends and family through virtual platforms, cards, phone calls, and visits.
Location
North Vancouver
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Manager.
Compensation
The pay rate for this role ranges from $23.50 to $25.75 per hour.
Probationary Period
A probationary period of three months is applicable.
Driving Requirements
No driving is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with sign language is advantageous, although training will be provided.
Essential Skills
Candidates should possess the ability to motivate, encourage, and engage clients in their interests. Proficiency in computer usage, including email and word processing, is also required.
Work Schedule
The expected hours of work include a combination of daytime and overnight shifts, ensuring comprehensive support for clients.
