Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Public Health team in Chilliwack, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing services to children and families in our community, promoting early intervention and prevention of communication disorders.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct screenings, assessments, and interventions for clients with hearing, communication, and related disorders.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and client/family goals.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation, including client files and statistics.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  5. Provide guidance and education to Speech Language Assistants and other team members.
  6. Participate in program planning, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current developments in Speech Language Pathology and apply best practices in your work.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Graduation from an approved school of Speech Language Pathology.
  • One year of recent related clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current active registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian and/or BC Association of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
