About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing speech-language programs for children and youth. You will work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to determine the best array and intensity of services for children based on their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in children and youth
  • Develop and implement individualized speech-language programs
  • Collaborate with families, other professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to determine the best array and intensity of services for children
  • Provide training and support to caregivers and support staff
  • Conduct home and community-based assessments and interventions
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC
  • Interest in working in a multidisciplinary team to support families and children
  • Previous experience working with children and youth is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a public or private school setting is an asset
  • Education and experience working in Indigenous communities is an asset
  • Ability to speak more than one language is an asset
  • RASP registration is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work
