Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Test equipment to identify transmission issues
  • Instruct and mentor apprentices
  • Maintain detailed test and service reports
  • Diagnose the nature and location of problems
  • Climb and work on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
  • Determine work assignments for team members
  • Install cable modems and software for Internet connectivity
  • Repair or replace defective cables, power supplies, and amplifiers
