Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices.

Team Collaboration

Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Cargo Handling

Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.

Regulatory Compliance

Obtain necessary permits and documents for international routes, adhering to all relevant regulations and laws.

Emergency Response

Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations, prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime.

Record Keeping

Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining detailed records for auditing and reporting purposes.

Cargo Security

Ensure the safety and security of cargo, utilizing tarping and other measures to prevent damage or loss.

Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses

AZ class license and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) are required.

Security Clearance

A criminal record check is mandatory.

Physical Demands

The successful candidate must be able to sit for extended periods and possess excellent attention to detail.

Personal Qualities

Flexibility, judgment, and reliability are essential for this role.

Experience

Will train, with a focus on developing skills and knowledge in the transportation industry.
