Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Firearms Inventory Specialist to join our team at Bass Pro Shops. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for maintaining a complete and accurate firearms inventory, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain firearms inventory in all retail locations, including the Gun Counter, Fine Gun Room, and Gunsmith department.
  • Ensure all firearm sales documents are completed thoroughly and accurately.
  • Control access to the Gun Vault and ensure all federal firearms transfer approvals are received prior to releasing firearms to customers.
  • Ship and/or transfer firearms as requested, and receive and secure incoming firearms using A&D log books and electronic A&D system.
  • Conduct monthly firearms audits and assist with training of store associates as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with inventory control procedures and firearms handling preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge and math skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
