We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team at American Iron & Metal Company. As a Mobile Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, verification, repair, and adjustment of various components and systems of construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance, general maintenance, and periodic maintenance on a variety of machinery, such as cranes, excavators with shears, mobile loaders, and forklifts.
  • Check the operation of the equipment and establish a diagnosis when anomalies are identified and determine the causes.
  • Ensure repairs and modifications to components, parts, or systems.
  • Complete maintenance orders and inspection sheets by recording the tasks carried out.
  • Ensure proper use and operation of company equipment.
  • Inform your immediate superior of any required action, any problem detected, or exceeding planned times.
  • Keep your workplace clean and safe.
  • Work safely and in compliance with the company's OHS policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma of professional studies (DEP) in construction machinery mechanics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction machinery mechanics; or a combination of studies/experience deemed equivalent.
  • Experience driving a forklift, mini-loader, and other machinery (asset).
Skills:
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Be autonomous and resourceful.
  • Have an analytical mind.
  • Have good speed of execution.
Additional Information:
  • Full-time position, 100% job security guaranteed.
  • Schedule 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Possibility of additional time.
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours.
  • Sponsorship and training upon hiring.
