About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Solar Canada office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to our projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project safety plans, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Ensure projects are constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
- Provide value engineering proposals to enhance functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
- Manage project performance, providing regular status reports on safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Negotiate and issue subcontracts, revisions, and progress payments, monitoring their progress and schedule.
- Enforce contract documents and participate in project commissioning and closeout.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
- Ability to relocate across Canada and/or the United States.
- Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, including building materials, construction specifications, methods, and procedures.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, including budget and schedule management.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
