Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Finance Leader to join our team at Black & McDonald. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial function for our Southern Ontario Region, as well as providing national finance leadership to our regional Construction operations across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of all financial reports, quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Provide financial leadership and support to our regional Construction operations, including problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage and maintain our ERP systems and data analytics software to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with our corporate head office to ensure alignment and consistency in financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to our Construction operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in financial processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.

Requirements

  • Accounting designation (CPA) required, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in senior finance roles.
  • Proven track record of success in financial leadership and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and data analytics software, with experience in JDEdwards a plus.
