Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase sales and retention.
- Identify new business opportunities and prospect for new customers.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing department to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Provide technical support and consultation services to customers to improve sanitation, safety, quality, and operations.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff and collaborate with customer service, purchasing, and operations to inform them of account activity and any actions required to optimally service the customer.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a sales role.
- Experience in technical, food & beverage processing, or chemical industry sales.
- Experience with CIP, food safety, plant, or sanitation programs.
- Degree in Sales & Marketing, a degree in dairy food, agricultural science, chemistry, or biology will be valued.
- Proven ability to cultivate an extensive network of contacts and develop trusting relationships.
- Knowledge of CRM platforms and the Office suite.
- Strong business sense, and understanding of business relationships between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users.
- Knowledge of direct sales techniques.
- Excellent listening skills and problem-solving abilities to uncover the needs and motivations and overcome objections to close a sale.
- Effective negotiating skills that make customers realize the appropriate value for products and services.
- Ability to manage time and resources to achieve goals.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
