Job Title: Change Management Consultant

Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking a skilled Change Management Consultant to join its Project Management Office (PMO) in Information Technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving change management initiatives that support business result achievement. This includes developing and implementing structured change management approaches, strategies, and plans to ensure organizational readiness for change.

The Change Management Consultant will work closely with the PMO to integrate change management with project delivery, ensuring that change is dealt with effectively and that employees are engaged and supported throughout the process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management, with experience in developing and implementing change management programs, as well as a proven track record of driving successful change initiatives.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to front-line staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement structured change management approaches, strategies, and plans to ensure organizational readiness for change.
  • Work closely with the PMO to integrate change management with project delivery.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to support change management initiatives.
  • Provide change management support and advice to business and project leaders.
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement and communication activities to support change initiatives.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a related field, such as Public Administration, Business Administration, or Organizational Behaviour.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in change management, with a proven track record of driving successful change initiatives.
  • Change Management professional certification is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.

Salary: NU07 on the non-union pay scale; $82,080. -$106,220. Salary to be commensurate with education and experience.

Work Location: 14th Floor – Barrington Tower, Halifax, NS.
