Meridia Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading non-profit organization dedicated to advancing a sustainable future. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Program Operations & Strategy to join their team.

As the Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of all programs by overseeing performance, financial management, and project implementation. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Management: Oversee program performance across all areas, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Lead cross-functional teams to execute operational enhancements and conduct regular performance reviews for senior managers.
  • Financial Oversight: Mentor senior managers on financial acumen and profitability strategies. Develop and monitor budgets for all programs, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency. Analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions for programs that are not meeting targets.
  • Project Management: Support the implementation of standardized project management practices across the organization. Provide training and guidance to senior managers on project methodologies and best practices. Develop strategic plans to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to leadership on program performance and financial status. Facilitate open communication and collaboration among senior managers, executives, and stakeholders. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on program outcomes, financial health, and strategic initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of senior managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Support the professional development of team members through coaching, training, and performance management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum eight years of experience in a senior operational or financial management role.
  • Proven experience in project management, financial oversight, and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the environmental sector and clean economy is an asset.
