Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equipment Planning Intern to support our Regional Construction operations. As an Equipment Planning Intern, you will play a critical role in the planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization, and reliability of our construction and mining equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and scheduling of equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
  • Conduct inspections of equipment and parts to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Manage logistics and communication with suppliers and vendors
  • Collaborate with craft maintenance technicians to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Support the development and implementation of equipment utilization and reliability improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), Diesel Technology, or Automotive Technology
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work full-time during the Fall (September-December)
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to take initiative, and passion for excellence
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Functional knowledge of English (written and verbal) is considered an asset
