About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in the evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of information management and technology solutions, projects, and services across our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technology, business analysis, or health-related field. You will have a proven track record of working with SQL and relational database design concepts, as well as experience with programming languages and tools such as C#,.NET Core, and JavaScript.

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with key clinical and business stakeholders to determine appropriate IT solutions, and for ensuring that all activities within your responsible area are supported by our IM/IT business plan, established policies, and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and updating existing custom software solutions using C#,.NET Core, and related web technologies
  • Information gathering and documentation of business requirements
  • Ensuring IT systems and processes are implemented and maintained to support the effective and safe delivery of patient information to care providers
  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships between clinical and business stakeholders and IM/IT
  • Collaborating with other team members, vendors, and clinical stakeholders
  • Participating in clinical IM/IT projects

We offer a competitive salary range of $36.33 - $45.42 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
