About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Clinical Specialty Services team, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting information management and technology solutions, projects, and services across our organization and its external clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis, or systems support, with experience in SQL and relational database design concepts, programming languages and tools, and web service/API design and development. You will also have strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, as well as excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

This is a long-assignment, full-time position with a salary range of $36.33 - $45.42 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis, or Health Related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Technology, Business Analysis, or Health Related field. You will have experience with source code version control, knowledge of associated best practices, and experience planning and performing software testing. Additionally, you will have experience with application cloud platforms, such as OpenShift, and conceptual knowledge of HL7 and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).
