Position: Operations & Quality Control Support

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by all team members daily.

- Maintain accurate safety documentation.

- Identify and communicate potential opportunities and challenges to the Plant Manager.
- Engage with clients to promote additional products when feasible.
- Keep precise daily and monthly operational records.
- Ensure timely collection of 'cash on delivery' payments and maintain accurate sales and quote records.
- Track fuel consumption accurately.
- Facilitate prompt approval and processing of invoices.
- Ensure drivers complete and submit all required documentation.
- Oversee the daily operations of Ready Mix drivers.
- Manage concrete batching processes.
- Schedule jobs and drivers to optimize fleet utilization.
- Plan ahead for materials needed for upcoming projects.
- Ensure accurate billing practices.
- Manage material inventory, including monthly physical counts and ordering.
- Utilize Key Performance Indicators, efficiency assessments, financial reports, and operational data to monitor performance, develop effective action plans, and enhance operations continuously.
- Ensure the plant is maintained according to established standards for cleanliness and appearance.
- Implement Lafarge's quality assurance program, which includes sampling concrete and aggregates, testing plastic concrete properties, casting test cylinders, conducting trials, and maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct quality control tests independently, adhering to the precision standards set by CSA, ASTM, and ACI, both on-site and at the plant.
- Obtain and maintain valid ACI Field Testing Technician Certification.
- Transport materials and samples as required between plants and job sites.
- High School Diploma required; Post-Secondary education in a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Northern Ontario.
- Experience in the ready-mix industry is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, SAP, Command-Alkon).
- Availability for overtime as necessary.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
