Collaboration is essential; you will primarily interact with the estimating team, Chief Estimator, VP of Estimating, and Project Coordinators to enhance project acquisition efforts.

Communication:
Effective coordination with operations staff is crucial to gather insights from ongoing projects, which will inform your estimating processes. You will also maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the estimating cycle.

Project Complexity:
In this senior role, you will tackle more intricate and significant projects that are essential for the sustained success and growth of Hall Group of Companies.

Mentorship:
On larger estimates, you may oversee one or more junior staff members, providing them with mentorship and guidance to foster their professional development.

Responsibilities Include:
- Managing all takeoffs for estimates, including those assigned to interns or project coordinators.
- Interpreting contract documents and specifications accurately.
- Collaborating with fellow estimators and project coordinators to formulate competitive bids.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients and subcontractors throughout the estimating process.
- Participating in all estimator meetings and on/off-site bid discussions.
- Mentoring junior estimators and project coordinators.

Qualifications:
- Education: Post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in local civil construction, proficiency in AutoCAD, and possession of a BC Class 5 driver’s license.

Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of estimating software such as HeavyBid and Heavy Job (HCSS).
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, Project, MS Teams, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
