This role primarily interacts with the estimating team, Chief Estimator, VP of Estimating, and Project Coordinators with the goal of project pursuit and acquisition.Coordination and communication with the operations staff is key to ensure feedback from ongoing projects and input for creating estimates. Contact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors will also be required, and the utmost professionalism is expected during these interactions.As a Senior Estimator, you will be expected to work on more complex and key projects which are key to Hall’s sustained success and ultimate growth. On larger estimates, you may have one or several more junior staff reporting to you for support, and you should support them with mentorship and guidance.Work within the framework of Hall’s estimating and project management guidelines and best practices.Manage all takeoffs for the estimate, including assigned Intern or Project Coordinator.Read and understand contract documents and specifications.Collaborate with other estimators and project coordinators to deliver a competitive bid.Communicate with clients and sub-contractors about the estimate frequently throughout the process.Attend all Estimator’s meetings and on/off-site bid meetings.Mentor estimators and project coordinators.You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:Education: Post Secondary Education or applicable work experience
