- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset, with a preference for candidates with 1 to 7 months of relevant experience.
The role is physically demanding and involves various activities including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

The Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
- Transporting patients between different care facilities
- Weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients as needed
- Delivering messages and specimens between departments
- Maintaining an adequate supply inventory
- Responding to patient call signals to assess their needs
- Preparing patients for surgical procedures by ensuring cleanliness and readiness of operative areas
- Collecting specimens for testing
This role includes providing training to colleagues to foster an inclusive work environment for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including persons with disabilities, newcomers, veterans, Indigenous peoples, and visible minorities.
