Employment Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Employment Consultant to join our team at WCG International Consultants Ltd. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a critical role in assisting clients with finding and maintaining employment, ensuring successful outcomes while meeting contract deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Client Needs Assessments to develop individualized action plans
- Collaborate with clients to update and revise action plans, ensuring alignment with policy
- Manage client case files in the primary information system, documenting eligibility determination, progress, and results
- Support and monitor client progress, verifying engagement and documentation requirements
- Collaborate with other organizations to coordinate client services and financial supports
- Refer clients to internal and external community resources and follow up on referrals
- Provide individualized job search support, including interviews, employer contacts, job matching, and negotiating employment terms
- Offer on-the-job support to clients and employers as needed
- Ensure services are delivered in a welcoming, safe, and professional manner, protecting client privacy
- Stay up-to-date on employment programs and funding sources
- Participate in community and employer events
- Research and identify employers and sector opportunities for clients
- Demonstrated experience in coaching clients, working with individuals with complex barriers, and building partnerships with employers and community agencies
- Successful track record helping clients overcome barriers to meet goals and targets
- Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources, government programs, job search techniques, and career development
- Solid understanding of confidentiality and professional codes of conduct, with a valid criminal record check
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work Monday to Friday in Centre, with flexibility to work in different locations
- Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) designation and bilingualism (French and English) are assets
- Experience in the Employment Services Sector and with provincial government tools is an asset
