About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Luo Resident. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in their own homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Encourage regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain physical health
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Shop for food and household supplies, and prepare nutritious meals
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Will train for the role
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Work Environment

Our clients live in their own homes, and as a Home Support Worker, you will work in a non-smoking environment. Public transportation is available for travel to and from work sites.

Working Conditions

As a Home Support Worker, you will work a regular schedule of 30-40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime as needed. You will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
