Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Count Team Attendant to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our count room team, you will be responsible for accurately counting cash assets and ensuring the smooth operation of our cash handling processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Count and verify cash and cash equivalents
- Organize and secure the storage of count carts, drop boxes, and other related equipment
- Report any discrepancies or suspect cash
- Verify and reconcile counts before and after processing
- Bag, bundle, and transport counts as required
- Provide accurate information for reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with operational departments and guests
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Comply with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling and counting preferred
- Ability to push or pull a cart of up to lbs
- Must have the ability to operate adding machines, currency counters, and other related equipment
- Ability to work well in a team environment with strong communication skills
- Ready and willing to work a flexible schedule consisting primarily of early morning shifts
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick)
Work Environment
- Back-office environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours including early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts
