About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties
    • Provide coaching and feedback to staff to improve performance and achieve goals
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are available when needed
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Cleanliness and Safety
    • Ensure that the kitchen and all equipment are clean and well-maintained at all times
    • Implement and maintain a safe food handling and preparation process
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Certifications
    • Safe Food Handling certificate

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and provide excellent customer service.
