Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing menus for our hotel, motel, and resort operations. This includes determining food portion sizes and costs, planning menus, and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling, as well as supervising kitchen staff and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Culinary arts diploma or degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Work Environment:

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding role. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
