Welcome to Square One Medical Clinic.

We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and enthusiastic healthcare support specialist to become a vital part of our established medical practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with multiple board-certified healthcare professionals.
  • Execute nursing tasks under the guidance of a physician.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations.
  • Guide patients to examination rooms, conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs such as weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and accurately document all information in the patient's electronic health record.
  • Administer allergy shots, vitamin B12 injections, and other vaccinations, ensuring patients receive timely care.
  • Prepare electronic health records for the physician prior to patient consultations.
  • Provide updates to the physician before patient evaluations.
  • Conduct specific procedures, including blood draws and wart removals.
  • Handle telephone communications and provide responses to inquiries from patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
  • Direct patients requiring urgent care or special attention.
  • Contact patients with abnormal lab results to establish a follow-up plan for those needing immediate care and those who can wait for treatment.
  • Welcome office visitors and manage patient intake processes.
  • Register new patients.
  • Organize patient charts and input demographic information into the database.
  • Answer and route incoming calls efficiently.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Maintain organized filing and scanning of patient charts.
  • Oversee business inventory by checking supplies regularly.
  • Ensure patient data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Facilitate patient referrals to specialized medical offices.
Required Knowledge
  • Understanding of the healthcare sector and medical specialties.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Proficient in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Experience working in an electronic medical record (EMR) environment.
Essential Skills
  • Outstanding customer service and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to maintain organized systems for efficient patient flow.
  • Competence in performing phlebotomy and administering injections.
  • Experience with Oscar EMR is advantageous.
Educational Background
  • Medical background (doctor/nurse).
  • Certification as a medical assistant (preferred).
  • Training in electronic medical records.
