Who We Are Seeking

We are excited to welcome an Intermediate Environmental Engineering Project Manager to our Contaminated Assessment and Remediation Team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in contaminated sites and remediation. Bring your enthusiasm and expertise to tackle the technical challenges we face at GHD. Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a diverse portfolio of projects and client relationships.
  2. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
  3. Enhance existing client partnerships.
  4. Oversee technical operations, including site investigations and hazardous material assessments, while mentoring junior and intermediate staff.
  5. Prepare and deliver reports, maintaining effective communication with clients.
  6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary project team to execute projects involving site investigations, remediation, waste management, and permitting.
  7. Conduct data analysis and evaluations, applying engineering principles and problem-solving techniques under project management supervision.
  8. Draft technical documents, including work plans, reports, and correspondence.
  9. Develop design specifications, reports, drawings, and tender documents.
  10. Create project support materials, including health and safety plans.
  11. Engage with vendors and contractors effectively.
  12. Administer contracts and manage project budgets.
  13. Supervise field operations, including environmental monitoring and remediation activities.
  14. Research and comprehend relevant provincial and federal regulations.
  15. Lead project management meetings and design discussions.
  16. Prepare and submit project proposals.
  17. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering.
  2. Registered with EGBC.
  3. Minimum of 8 years of consulting experience in the environmental sector.
  4. Strong project management capabilities.
  5. Business-oriented mindset focused on practice growth.
  6. Familiarity with provincial and federal guidelines for contaminated site assessments.
  7. Experience with regulatory submissions.
  8. Knowledge of federal site investigations.
  9. Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
  10. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  11. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  12. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing proficiency.
  13. Possession of a Class 5 AB Driver's license.
