We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at J.Y Tiling LTD. As a Tile Installer, you will be responsible for installing tile surfaces in residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered with tile.
- Mortar Application: Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
- Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
- Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
- Obstacle Cutting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
- Grout Application: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
- Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
- Underbed Installation: Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets.
- Marble and Granite Installation: Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for the job.
- Tile Strip Installation: Install tile strips as required.
Work Details: This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
