Job Summary

The Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling is responsible for completing on-site preventative maintenance services and repairs on the functional parts of all mechanical equipment at customer sites, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing all levels of Preventative Maintenance services on a scheduled basis in a professional manner.
  • Identifying issues with malfunctioning equipment, analyzing the root causes, and devising appropriate solutions for repairs, replacements, or adjustments.
  • Identifying and reporting on additional items identified that require follow-up service work by a service technician.
  • Ensuring the accurate capture and reporting of PM service checklist, inspections, and work order information for the benefit of customer reporting.
  • Working directly with customers and equipment operators.
  • Utilizing hoists, forklifts, power tools, cranes, loaders, vehicles, and manual tools for operational tasks.
  • Operating machinery to evaluate its performance and verify the effectiveness of repairs or adjustments made.
Requirements
  • Proven experience contributing to a service-oriented environment.
  • Motivated, energetic, and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Willing to work after-hours and/or participate in shiftwork as required to support customer needs.
  • Class D license required.
  • Must have experience operating, servicing, and/or maintaining material handling equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
