Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling

Brandt is seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling to join our team at our Mississauga Construction & Forestry location.

This role is responsible for completing on-site preventative maintenance services and repairs on mechanical equipment at customer sites, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance services in a professional manner.
  • Identifying and analyzing equipment issues, and devising solutions for repairs, replacements, or adjustments.
  • Reporting on additional items requiring follow-up service work by a service technician.
  • Capturing and reporting PM service checklist, inspections, and work order information for customer reporting.
  • Collaborating with customers and equipment operators.
  • Utilizing hoists, forklifts, power tools, cranes, loaders, vehicles, and manual tools for operational tasks.
  • Operating machinery to evaluate performance and verify effectiveness of repairs or adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a service-oriented environment.
  • Motivated, energetic, and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to work after-hours and/or participate in shiftwork as required.
  • Class D license required.
  • Experience operating, servicing, and/or maintaining material handling equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
