About the Role
The Operations and Planning team is a dynamic team at the heart of the different business sectors ensuring a strong link between the different IT teams and the needs of the business lines for all IFC companies.
We are currently looking for a Senior Product Owner to manage and prioritize the customer document service, the integration with our new policy management system, as well as the maintenance of the latter through small queries or production problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the main contact for the delivery team for information, work prioritization and decision-making.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary agile team from idea generation to execution.
- Direct, plan, and monitor the product in all phases of the life cycle from the beginning of the project to its introduction on the market.
- Be responsible for the evolution of the product.
- Be partner with teams and managers to gather requirements and facilitate projects.
- May be responsible for more than one product or product category.
- Be Responsible for the alignment with other Pos and management of inter-team dependencies.
- Be Responsible for managing inter-project priority conflicts/Small Requests and production defects.
- Be responsible for approving monthly releases and ensuring a high level of quality.
- Prepare user stories and manage the backlog, creating value for both the company and our representatives.
- Plan, facilitate demonstrations and participate in committees and retrospectives.
- Ensure that products create a high level of engagement and exceed our customers' expectations.
- Ensure product delivery based on roadmaps.
- Integrate customer feedback and insights from performance measurement into product roadmaps.
- Act as an expert in product development and innovation.
- Contribute to and participate in steering committees in order to give a status of progress on projects, small requests and production defects in progress.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in product creation and delivery, team or project coordination.
- Very good knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of tools (Jira, Teams, Confluence, etc.).
- CSPO or PSPO certification.
- Ability to deliver impactful presentations and workshop facilitation.
- Ability to guide a team, lead scrums and do prioritization workshops.
- Proven skills in project planning and management.
- Very good understanding of the technical aspects related to design and development.
- Bilingualism (French/English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required, but authorization to work in Canada required.
