Position Overview:

The role involves executing a range of sanitation tasks within designated facilities, ensuring a clean, hygienic, and organized environment while also undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

High-Level Dusting:

Utilize a specialized high duster to methodically clean surfaces above shoulder height, including light fixtures, curtain edges, vents, and ledges. Ensure the high duster is maintained by gently brushing it into the service cart.

Employ a germicidal solution to sanitize surfaces below shoulder height, such as ledges, chairs, telephones, countertops, and waste receptacles.

Utilize appropriate cleaning solutions to eliminate fingerprints and smudges from doorknobs and walls, and perform spot cleaning on windows as necessary.

Restroom Sanitation:

Apply a germicidal solution to clean areas in the following sequence:

  • Above and below the sink.
  • Toilet seat and exterior of the toilet bowl.

Utilize a Johnnie Mop with the proper germicidal solution for thorough cleaning of the toilet interior, paying special attention to the rim to eliminate germs. Regularly check and refill soap and paper dispensers.

Waste Management:

When emptying trash cans, if liquids are present, remove the liner, clean the can, and replace it with a fresh liner.

Floor Maintenance:

Using a treated dust mop, start at the back of the room and employ an 'S' motion to capture dust. Ensure to clean under all furniture and in restrooms, stopping just inside the entrance. Clean the mop head using a counter brush and dispose of the dust appropriately.

When vacuuming, begin at the back of the room and work towards the exit, ensuring to reach under chairs and other furniture.

Outdoor Areas:

Regularly inspect and clean outdoor spaces, including:

  • Emptying and cleaning ash urns and trash cans.
  • Picking up litter from sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines.
  • Spot cleaning spills and removing gum from surfaces.
  • Wiping down benches and vending machines, as well as cleaning lower window ledges.
  • Performing high dusting for cobwebs and dust accumulation.

Common Areas:

Dust mop and spot mop main hallways, ensuring:

  • Glass surfaces are cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
  • Planters are maintained and free from debris.
  • High dusting is conducted at least twice weekly, checking for cobwebs and dirt in corners and edges.

Food Court Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize tables, ensuring chairs are returned to their proper positions and spills are promptly addressed. Regularly empty and clean trash receptacles and transport dirty trays to the washing area for cleaning.

Inspection and Quality Control:

After completing cleaning tasks, conduct a mental review of the steps taken and visually inspect furniture placement, making adjustments as necessary to avoid issues or complaints.

Customer Interaction:

  • Knock gently before entering occupied spaces.
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor and assist customers courteously.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Work quietly to minimize noise.
  • Remain within assigned work areas unless directed otherwise.
  • Exhibit professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Communicate any unfinished tasks to the supervisor at the end of the shift.

Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor or account manager, which could include floor care tasks such as stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction, and buffing.

Qualifications:
