Your Role:

As an Electrical Engineer reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, you will play a vital role in the comprehensive management and reliability of plant assets, ensuring the safe production of pulp. The following duties and responsibilities are indicative of the role and may be expanded as required by management:

  • Lead Electrical Engineering initiatives for both capital and maintenance projects.
  • Contribute to the planning and ongoing maintenance of asset life cycles.
  • Uphold plant standards concerning electrical assets.
  • Oversee all facets of E&I change management, including work order and project execution, planning, design, scoping, construction supervision, commissioning, and project completion.

Your Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Proven track record in executing E&I Projects, encompassing design, specification, contracting, installation, commissioning, and operations/maintenance turnover.
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, across all organizational levels.
  • Robust problem-solving and technical capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in an industrial setting with VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, and DCS.
  • Familiarity with various electrical systems ranging from 600V to 13.8kV.
  • 5-10 years of experience in an operational plant environment, preferably in a pulp mill.
