Your mission:
Under the guidance of the Engineering Superintendent, the Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in the comprehensive management and reliability of plant assets, ensuring the safe production of pulp. The responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive and may be supplemented with additional tasks as deemed necessary by management.
- Conduct Electrical Engineering for both capital and maintenance initiatives.
- Participate in Asset life cycle planning and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Uphold plant standards for electrical equipment.
- Oversee all facets of E&I change management work orders and project execution, including planning, design, scoping, construction oversight, commissioning, and project finalization.
Your profile:
To excel in this role, an individual must effectively perform each essential duty. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill essential functions.
- Proven track record in executing E&I Projects encompassing design, specification, contracting, installation, commissioning, and operations/maintenance turnover.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with all organizational levels.
- Proficient problem-solving and technical abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience in an industrial setting with VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, and DCS.
- Familiarity with various electrical systems ranging from 600V to 13.8kV.
- 5-10 years of experience in an operational plant environment, preferably in a Pulp Mill.
