Job Summary

We are seeking a Recreation Therapy Assistant to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a Recreation Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation and recovery of patients by assisting healthcare professionals and helping physical therapists with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and rehabilitation activities
  • Help physical therapists with exercises and treatments
  • Set up and dismantle equipment for patient use
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use
  • Maintain supplies and inventory of equipment
  • Document patient rehabilitation progress
  • Organize and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
Requirements
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Dental plan, disability benefits, healthcare plan, and vision care benefits
  • Long-term care insurance and maternity and parental benefits
  • Permanent work term with 37.5 hours per week
  • Work language: English
