Woodworking Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machinist to join our team at The Finishing Store & Millworks Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computerized and manual woodworking machines to fabricate and repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintenance: Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, and replace parts as required.
- Equipment Experience: Operate drills, planers, routers, sanders, and saws.
- Work Environment: Work in a noisy and dusty environment, standing for extended periods.
- Physical Demands: Lift heavy loads, perform repetitive tasks, and maintain manual dexterity.
- Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
- Certifications: Required certifications for the position.
