Job Summary

The Production Planner/Scheduler is a key member of the Keilhauer team, responsible for developing and implementing production plans to meet customer demands. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a rolling Master Production Plan for all products, taking into account production capacity and any backlog.
  • Communicate schedule changes to Plant Managers, Supervisors, Customer Service, and Warehouse personnel as they occur.
  • Ensure coordination with the supply chain to execute production plans on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Check inventory requirements and schedule production orders based on capacity and parts availability.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary diploma in Business Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Previous scheduling experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency with other technical programs, including ERP experience.
Skills and Qualities:
  • Proficiency in production scheduling techniques and systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control standards and practices.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles.
  • Ability to fabricate and assemble production schedules effectively.
